Note:
1/23/97 I received a phone call from Alvin Monroe, 1024 N. Main St., Carlsbad, NM 88220 saying he just got the new LDS CD's & it has the genealogy I submitted to them!! This is where he found my phone number & address!! Alvin said that James was a lumber tycoon & very rich. In 1866 they moved to Michigan & bought tracts of pine land. Census of 1870 lists their worth as $90,000.00, James bought a mansion in Bay City in 1874 but died very early (six years after moving into that house leaving very young children). George N. Procunier was made guardian by Bay City courts. George was living in Bayham, Elgin county, Ontario at the time!
