Eve Bragonier, The daughter of George & Anna Eve Braggoonner Sr., born 30 Nov 1752 in Hanover, Germany. Eve married Michael Bergman about 1775. Eve died 18 May 1827 in Clear Springs, Maryland. Eve is buried in the St. Paul's Lutheran & Reformed Church Cemetery on Route #40 in Clear Springs, Maryland. Michael Bergman was born 29 Oct. 1738 in Europe (per his tombstone). Birth date from LDS (LSJC-0F).
Next to Eve's grave is the grave of her daughter Dorothy. The grave stone at the St. Paul's Lutheran & Reformed Cemetery reads "Dorothy Heller, wife of Daniel Heller, & daughter of Michael & Eve Bargman, b. 20 June 1782, d. 25 Jan 1829."
Children: (2)
Catherine Bergman, born 26 Mar 1776, Berkley Co, Virginia.
Dorothy (Dorotea) Bergman, born 20 Jun 1782, died 25 Jan 1829 in Maryland.
Dorotea Beickman (spelling per LDS (LSJC-2R)) married Daniel Heller.
Dr. Charles Dille (Dayton, Ohio physician) contacted me (1994) saying his mother Louise (Bergmann) Dille always told him that the Bergmann’s were related to the Procuniar’s that lived in Mad River Township, Dayton, Ohio through her Bergmann surname, possible through the Eve Bragonier/Michael Bergman marriage. The Dille's, Procuniars are buried in the Dille Family Cemetery on Valley Pike, in Mad River Township, Montgomery County, Dayton, Ohio. I am still looking into this connection but as of 2006 have found nothing positive to substantiate this.
Eve was a confirmed Lutheran; after arriving in America she lived with her family in Clear Springs, Maryland. In the cemetery of the St. Paul's Lutheran & Reformed Church, which is located on Route #40, two miles east of Clear Springs Maryland are buried Eve Bargmann. Her cemetery stone reads "Eve Bargmann, wife of Michael Bargmann, daughter of George & Anne Eve Brakonier, b. 30 Nov 1752 in Hanou in Europe, d. 18 May 1827".
Next to Eve's grave is the grave of her daughter Catherine, her stone reads "Catherine Smith, daughter of Michael & Eve Bergman b. 26 Mar 1776 in Berkley County Virginia, d. 5 June 1827, ae 51-2-10". Also in this cemetery is a grave that reads "Dorothy Heller, wife of Daniel Heller, & daughter of Michael & Eve Bargman, b. 20 June 1782, d. 25 Jan 1829".
