Jacob Brogunier, The son of Peter Brockunier Sr. (1727-1804) & Margaret (1733 Dutch died before 1803). Jacob was born 23 Jun 1772, Washington Co, Maryland. Married 1st Margretha 16 Nov 1794 Washington, County, Maryland. Married 2nd Elizabeth Hetrick 16 Nov 1797. Orphans Court Records, Bedford County Pennsylvania Court house August 1827 show Jacob's last name spelled "Brucuner".
Jacob Brogunier had seven (7) grand-sons who all fought in the Civil War.
Jacob was listed as a farmer; attended the German Reformed Church; and was born on his fathers farm, "Hagers Long Hickory." Jacob was known as "Old Mr. Huguenot."
