Milton (Bishop) Wright; son of Dan Wright (1790-1861) & Catharine Reeder (1800-1866). Milton was born on 17 Nov 1828 in Rush County, Indiana; died on 03 Apr 1917 in Montgomery County, (Oakwood) Dayton, Ohio. Milton married Susan Catherine Koerner (1831-1889) on 24 Nov 1859 in Union County, Indiana.
Milton Wright was a presiding Elder and Circuit Preacher of the United Brethern Church in Dayton, Ohio with an annual salary of $1500.00, with travel costs and other expenses paid for by collections taken in the churches he visited, while living at the Hawthorn Street home in the mid 1800's. He also owned two farms and received rents of $40 to $60 a month from them in addition to income from the sale of the crops grown on both farms. A yearly salary of over $2700.00 plus crop shares which was a good salary for a minister.
