Wendell Hughell Bragonier, was born 5 August 1910 to the parents of Robert Jacob & Cora Mable (Hughell) Bragonier; Wendell died in Jan 2000. Wendell's father Robert Jacob worked in the Post Office in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Wendell is the oldest of four children, having one brother Marion Justice and two sisters Lois Rebecca & Frances Margaret. Wendell Hughell, was a retired dean of the graduate school at Colorado State University, Ft. Collins, Colorado. Wendell did a fairly extensive search of our family genealogy probably 30+ years ago and found out, if memory serves, that we are descendents of French Huguenots who escaped persecution in Holland after the French revolution and came to this country with the massive immigration of Germans and Dutch in the 19th century. (See the talk given by Gordon Procunier in 1981 on the "Tree" page of this web site or click Here then click on the hyperlink for Talk by Gordon Procunier) One branch of the family settled in "Pennsylvania Dutch" country (around Lancaster County, PA), and another came to Iowa who were farmers.

An Obstetrician/gynecologist, a professor at UCLA School of Medicine.

James Wendell, born 1940 is an Architect & music store proprietor in Ft. Collins.

Mary Ellen, born 1945, married Ronald F. Overlies a Veterinary Doctor. Mary married 2nd Keith Vogt

Mary Ellen has three children.
